It's been a long day. Your boss is a jerk. You’re failing a class. You’re mother keeps calling. All you want to do is sink on the couch and eat a jar of frosting. Or cookie dough. Or ice cream. Whatever floats your boat. Sounds like a great plan. But how about instead of drowning in chocolate, you open up a book? It’s good for you and can be as rich and delicious as Godiva dark chocolate.
Or, you can do both. Both is good.
So for your pleasure, I have compiled a list of book recommendations for those days when nothing is going right. Because sometimes life – pardon my French – sucks.
Comfort books are great for those days when you just can’t deal with life anymore. They are better than your favorite comfort food because they last longer and do not add to your waist-line. So the next time you are having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day pick up a book that is fun, funny, and sweet, like your favorite box of chocolates.
