So many book blogs, so little time. What’s a girl to do, when all she wants is to find one or two awesome book blogs in order to get new reading recommendations? Read an article giving you the best of the best of course!
So, without further ado, here are my favorite book blogs recommended just for you.
Modern Mrs Darcy – This isn’t just a book blog, although there are plenty of wonderful bookish things discussed on this website. Anne Bogel, the creator of Modern Mrs. Darcy, also discusses fashion, food, and interesting insights. Like Kathleen Kelly, Anne has flawless taste when it comes to books. She provides readers with a list of Kindle daily deals tailored to the reading taste of her blog readers. She also has a “What Should I Read Next?” weekly podcast you should definitely check out on iTunes.
Blogs of a Bookaholic – If you like fun and simple reviews from a writer with a casual and engaging voice, then this blog is perfect for you. The writer of the blog, who refers to herself as Becky, does not go into in-depth analysis of the books she reviews but she is not afraid to use exclamation points! She mainly writes reviews for YA and fantasy novels. This low-key blog is definitely for those who love reading purely for the sake of reading.
Hit or Miss Books – This is another fun and casual blog. Blogger Lola brings her cute and quirky personality into her reviews. She mainly writes reviews for YA, NA, adult, fantasy, contemporary, and manga/graphic novels. If you’re a pop culture nerd, this is definitely a blog to check out.
My Friends are Fiction – I am in love with the layout of this website. It has a very modern, chic design. The owner of the blog, Kristin, likes to review YA novels and make Lego art. If you are a YA reader (such as moi) this is a fantastic place to discover new reads.
Nerdy Book Club – This blog is so unique in the fact that it is written by any number of book lovers. It is run by moderators who post reviews sent to them by readers like you. This is the ultimate online bookish community, where readers can share their favorite recommendations to those out there who also love books. And anyone can submit a review, so you get a number of different tastes and writing styles. The blog focuses on YA and children’s lit, so if that is the type of reading you love, check it out!
Phew, and there you have it. A comprehensive list of some of the most awesome bookish blogs out there. Enjoy, and as always, Happy Reading!
